The character apartment in our large house offers an ideal year-round base to enjoy the haute Languedoc National Parc and surrounding areas.It also affords reasonable access (50km) to the beaches of the Mediterranean.The house is located centrally in the historic town of St. Pons de Thomieres.The town is situated in a valley in the heart of the beautiful national parc surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, forests and woodland.The apartment comprises the whole of the 1st floor and consists of 5 double bedrooms (1-ensuite), wc/shower room, large kitchen and large lounge. The rental options are to rent 2 (sleeps 4), 3 (sleeps 6) or all 5 bedrooms (sleeps 10).The large kitchen is very well equipped including microwave, large stainless steel smeg 6-ring hob and oven, stainless steel smeg dishwasher, large refrigerator and freezer, large dining table seating up to 10, toaster, cafeteria, kettle etc. A courtesy pack will be available on arrival.The kitchen has French doors opening up onto a balcony overlooking a quiet square and enjoys a sunny south-acing aspect.A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided.The house is over 200 years old and incorporates features of the previous , now unused, church of St. Martin.The ???chapel??? double master bedroom enjoys character features including high arched gothic ceiling, arched windows, atmospheric lighting and original quarry-filled floor.The apartment is very comfortably furnished with a mixture of contemporary and antique furniture. One of the remaining bedrooms has a double bed (1 en-suite), the other three two single beds each. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated. The large lounge provides a place to relax with its Louis IV Sofas. The lounge is equipped with DVD/VCR/TV (Large widescreen), Hi-Fi Music System and Fire Place (not currently in use).
