This project stands as a contemporary manifesto, a bold and radical response to the topography of the site. The design, composed of assertive volumes, interacts with the site’s elevation to open up perspectives by stretching them towards the distance. The rigour of the architectural line thus meets the poetry of the landscape. In a radical, unadorned gesture, transforming the slope into a succession of horizontal perspectives. Geometry of a landscape Set on an 850 m² plot, this 400 m² villa is arranged in three successive tiers on the hillside. This division into independent levels defines, for each space, an immediate relationship with light and the outdoors. From the moment you approach, the silhouette presents a clear visual impression. Clean lines, volumes with rigorous proportions and horizontal openings that give rhythm to the façades. The façade, finished in a deep hue, gives the building a sculptural presence that stands out from the vegetation to assert its mineral identity. The commanding position orchestrates the fluidity of the interior whilst protecting privacy. Each level benefits from direct access to carefully designed open spaces. Spaciousness as the horizon The entrance opens onto a 100 m² living area, designed as an openplan space where functions flow seamlessly into one another. In the living room, the space is organised around a minimalist fireplace. Light is framed by floortoceiling windows that create a sense of constant depth, blurring the boundary between inside and outside. The dining room continues this flow, providing a seamless transition to a kitchen with a radical aesthetic. Bespoke furniture and fittings recede behind clean lines, whilst a central island of imposing proportions structures the space. The choice of materials emphasises a desire for permanence: largeformat stone flooring, aluminium joinery and wood species providing a warm counterpoint to the rigour of the volumes. The Postulate of Silence On this first level, the master suite stands apart. Designed as a 30 m² sanctuary, it withdraws from the social space to prioritise silence. The bedroom and its ensuite bathroom are arranged around a precise frame looking outwards, transforming the surroundings into a shifting, almost contemplative backdrop. The second level, set slightly lower, follows the natural slope of the site. It houses four independent suites, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The layout prioritises absolute autonomy, offering both guests and the family freedom of movement and complete seclusion, far from the hustle and bustle of the reception areas. Among them, one suite stands out for its private lounge, a secluded alcove hidden from the rest of the house. This entire level is centred around a patio, a true openair retreat. This heart of stone and greenery marks the transition from indoors to outdoors, ensuring every guest has direct access to the open air, without ever compromising the privacy of the private spaces.
