Living in one and renting out two gites, renting out all three houses or living separated but together with your family or friends, all of this is possible. This ensemble of three houses is located in Normandy, near the town of Falaise, about 30 minutes south of Caen.
The property is situated on the flank of a valley on the edge of the Suisse Normandie, with a fantastic view. The entire property is more than 4 hectares and includes both gardens and an orchard while the rest is grassland. This grassland is currently grazed by the cows of a neighbouring farmer.
The surroundings
Suisse Normandie is a rolling landscape in Lower Normandy. It is called the backyard of Paris. Lots of meadows with the characteristic Normandy cows. Places like Camembert are half an hour away. It is a 10 minute drive to the town of Falaise with the famous castle of William the Conqueror. The D-Day beaches are half an hour away.
The houses are on a quiet dead end road. The local residents are extremely friendly and helpful. The village itself is about 800 meters away.
The 3 houses
Gite Bleu
This is the smallest gite (4 persons). One for the rental very popular gite. Especially "couples" make much use of this.
Layout: front terrace, living room with open modern Italian kitchen and wood stove. First floor: 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. This gite also has a private garden with a terrace, a lawn and fruit trees. From this garden you can reach the orchard.
Gite Bleu has a living area of approximately 54 m2.
Gite Rouge
The largest gite with no less than 13 beds and 5 bedrooms. This house is particularly suitable for renting to large / multiple families or groups.
Layout: ground floor: spacious kitchen with 5-burner stove, fridge / freezer and wood stove.
Hallway to the rear of the ground floor: spacious 2 person bedroom with sink, separate toilet, bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, second bathroom with shower and sink, closet with washing machine and dryer, passage to large living room on two levels. This living room also has a wood stove.
Stairs to the first floor (from kitchen) with 2 bedrooms.
Second staircase to the first floor (from living) to the bedroom / play area (with 2 single beds). Through this loft you reach another bedroom with four single beds.
Gite Rouge has the courtyard like a country house.
Gite Rouge has a living area of approximately about 235 m2.
Ferme Blanche
This 4 bedroom house is suitable for private living but also rentable as a gite. Ferme Blanche has a large backyard with fruit trees and a spacious terrace.
Layout: ground floor: entrance through the spacious kitchen with hob, extractor hood, dishwasher and fridge / freezer. The kitchen has a wood stove and garden doors to the terrace. Middle hallway with separate toilet and bathroom with shower, double sink and second toilet. Living room with a wood stove and a door to the garden.

Second staircase to the first floor (from hallway) with three 2-person rooms.
The lower floor of Ferme Blanche has an open "shed" and a cellar (cave) with washing machine, dryer and cupboards. A second cave is accessible from this first cave.
Ferme Blanche has a living area of approximately 216 m2.
The terrain also has a barn and a second barn for tools and wood storage. In one of the buildings (Gite Rouge) is a workspace with stairs to a second level workspace used for storage of building materials and tools.
The three houses have been completely renovated in style and are in excellent condition. Gite Bleu and Gite Rouge partly have double glazing, Ferme Blanche is almost entirely double glazed. The roofs of the three houses are insulated, laid with slate plates and are in excellent condition. None of the buildings contain asbestos. Sewerage via "fosse septique" or a septic tank.
